I have two '75 omc's, a 50twin, and a 135v4, both are away from me at the wife's grandparents house. I do not have the factory owners manual for either, but I have the seloc manual for the v4 with 135hp and it says to use 25:1, which I have been doing for the year I have owned it, with good running. now over on my Boston whaler forum, they're swearing up and down that their '73 and '74 johonsons are calling for 50:1.

so who's right?
maybe my '75 50hp twin calls for 50?
and
maybe my '75 135hp v4 calls for 25?

Re: '75 fuel:eek:il mixture?

Both motors are 50:1 use TCW3 rated oil.
In about 1964 probably 90% of all outboards became 50:1. or a similar ratio.Missprints do pop up occasionally in these aftermarket manuals.
