I have a 1940 Johnson HS10 that I am coaxing back to life. Does anyone know the proper paint colors? This one has multiple layers, and I can't make out what the bottom one is!
From what i could find on the AOMCI site, most of it should be dull aluminum lacquer, which was very common in that era. Some of the aluminum stuff was polished instead of being painted. If there's any brass or bronze, that's usually polished. Believe it or not, there are places that sell decals for them, too.
