92 70HP Johnson FLOAT SETTING ??

I am going to install rebuild kits in my 1992 70HP Johnson. How do I set float level? Anything else I should know about? The carbs are the early style.

Best I can remember, turn carb body upside down, float should be same distance from housing, level, front and rear. I am sure some one will come along and offer sugestions.

My Sierra carb kits had instructions that told how and where to set the floats. level when upside down, and 3/4" drop right side up, on a 1976 75 hp.

I have a 1966 9.5 Johnson....What is the float setting?

I have a 1991-70hp evinrude and I rebuilt the carbs on it plus a lot of other carbs on various hp johnson,evinrudes, yamahas, mercs. Just level it out with it just slighty higher in the back.
