I Have A 1984 150 Hp Evinrude With A Blown Power Head. Model E150ancrs And I've Found A 1988 Powerhead Model E150txcca.(haven't Purchased Yet) With A 25" Long Shaft. My 1984 Is A 20" So I Have To Use My Lower Unit On My Boat.
Question???
1. Will The Powerhead From The 1988 Bolt Onto Where The 1984 Powerhead Once Sat.
2. Is The Lower Unit And And Midsection/exhaust Section From The 1984 Compatable To Bolt Right Up To The 1988. Externally They Look Like The Same Motor But I Don't Know If There Is Any Changes In The Bottom Of The Block On The 1988 Or If The Splines In The Crankshaft Are Different From 1984 To 1988?
3. Can Anybody Out There Answer This Question With 100% Certainty?
