2003 90 horsepower evinrude jet question on shut down system

I have a 2003 evinrude jet 90 horsepower and it was running great then out of the blue shut down light and alarm came on and the motor shut down when I got home I flush the motor and the alarm went off I work on my boat myself most the time and this was different does anyone no much about this? Alot of sand came out when I flush the motor what should I do I cant find a manual on it with out paying for one on line I would like to fix so I can go fishing tomarrow. help just a guy who like to fish

Alarm system does not shut engine down, only reduces rpms to 2500, the overheat alarm only one that does this. That is why you should keep alarm system in good order. Maby only sand stopped water flow. Put it back in water and try it, after a good flushing. It may have overheated and stuck a piston.

low oil alarm is a beep every 30 seconds. beep......................beep...................

no oil alarm is a beep every 1/2 second or so.beep,beep,beep

overheat and fuel restriction alarm is a constant beep.beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
