When I first put my boat in the water it starts right up no problem at all, from a cold start. After running the boat for a while or short time I have a problem getting the boat started back up again. It takes me about 15 minutes to start back up. The motor runs great when going but have a problem after I run it. I have heard it could be the regulator getting too hot and that could prevent it from not starting back up and have to wait until the regulator cools back down. Does this sound right? My carbs have been recently clean and my mechanic said the motor is in good condition. I found a rectifier online for cheap but my boathouse is selling a regulator for $140? I am confused about a rectifier and regulator.
