Re: 1952 Evinrude 3 Hp Oil Mixture

From the evinrude.com web site

Q - What is the fuel/oil mix for my motor?
A - The following is generally true: 1958 and prior used 20:1, 1959 thru 1963 used 24:1, 1964 and newer use 50:1. High performance usage (racing) requires a ratio of 25:1. New engine break-in (not DI) requires 25:1.

The original mix certainly was 1/2 pint per gallon (16:1). You might be able to get away with as little as 6oz per gallon (24:1), but with no more fuel than that little baby uses, why would you want to?

Be sure to use only TC-W3 rated outboard oil, not the 30W motor oil originally specified.
