I am getting a thick whitish grease coming out of the starboard side water outlet on the lower unit. I am very new to tinkering with outboards so I apologize poor description. Any ideas?
Not sure what you mean by starboard side water outlet on lower unit. There is an outlet on the back of the leg where exhaust and water come out. It is normal for unburnt oil/gas mix to come out here.
yea, I don't think its anything to worry about. You may want to check your lower unit lube if you haven't done it already. Btw, I have the same motor, but I'm still working to get it started. When I took it out of the barrel, the wife asked was the water flammable? LOL. Anyway, I can help you out with a manual if you need one. Just PM me your email.
