1988 Johnson 88hp Engine increasing(racing) idle

Please help !! [/COLOR]I recently placed a carb rebuild kit on both carbs(1988 88 hp). When started it runs smooth, then increases rpm/power @ idle.... I've made sure all of the hoses & vac. lines are connected. Also checked the idle plate & screws.

did you remove and clean all the jets, http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=244013
