model#15EL75c and serial#E4222235
I pulled the 6 bolts retaining the lower unit, it dropped about 2 inches. On my mercury I had to seperate a shifting shaft, what do I need to do with this one?
You also need to separate the shift shaft...but I do not know where your connection is located. Perhaps behind the intake screens in the LU, or up near the shift handle by the powerhead???
Motor is a 75.
Same deal: look in the space for the coupler remove the upper screw.
You should be working with a manual."he who works without a service manual has a fool for a mechanic".You may find a manual at the library.
Thank you very much for the diagram, that's exactly what I needed. I bought the boat 2 years ago, previous owner sold it with questionable motor, but after spending about two hours lobor it runs great.
