Depends on the year and type of bearings your motor has.....my 61' fisherman takes 26-1, my 76' 55hp Evinrude takes 50-1, new motors can use 100-1. need to check factory recomendations, although I am sure someone on here has a 67 and can advise you.

Re: 6h.p evinrude year? and gas to oil ratio?

The recommendations from Evinrude are that generally 1958 and prior used 20:1, 1959 thru 1963 used 24:1, 1964 and newer use 50:1.

See http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/Owners-Center/FAQ/OilAndFuel
There are however pre 1964 engines that will run happily on 50:1 and there are also some post 1964 that are better run on 24:1 .. mainly the small ones.

A 1967 6hp, like those prior to 1964, does not have needle bearings for the crank shaft main bearings so that would be better run on a more oily mix than 50:1

The use of 100:1 was introduced by OMC in 1985 but after a couple of years they realised it was a mistake .. No OMC motors should be run on 100:1.
It is worth noting that even those brands that do allow 100:1 usually specify 50:1 if the engine is to be used commercially.
