What is the torque setting for re-installing spark plugs into your outboard.

Just trying to winterize and want to make sure that I have no problem in the spring when I fire it back up again.

i'VE ALWAYS JUST SNUGGED THEM DOWN THEN 1/8TH OF A TURN max..
Whatever the torque is, its not much for any steel thread going into alum.

Thanks, i'll put that to use...

Also answered another question....aluminum heads, i haven't investigated too much yet, in terms of the maintenance of my outboard.

On my bike and car engines I always put a little 'coppaslip' on the threads and tighten them with a short lever! No problems with electrolytic corrosion and never stripped one.
When the plugs are brand new, generally the gasket compresses to allow 1/4 turn from finger tight, thereafter about 1/8 as previously mentioned. If your plugs have the screw-on nipple, make sure they are plier tight.
