Age of my Johnson Seahorse

I just bought a 10 HP Johnson Seahorse last week and need to find out what year it is. Are there any sites that I can reference the serial number to check the age? This motor is in superb condition, very clean!! I am going to sell it but do not know what to sell it for.

the model number should be on the transom plate. post it and we can tell you the year

Thank you for all your help. I found it on Maxrules.com...I have a very clean 1955 10 HP Johnson Seahorse.
