1998 115 Johnson blowing main fuse

My 1998 johnson is blowing the main fuse. I disconnected the purple w/ white trace wire from the back of the ignition switch and it quit blowing fused. However, I have no guages. I traced the wire into the main harness but could not find out where it came out in the engine. Any suggestions?

Also, the tach w/ the 4 sensor lights hasn't worked in a while. Where can I buy a new one?

purple/white is the choke solenoid.
