My cousin ran his 115 Evinrude yesterday and was shocked to see the amount of white smoke billowing from the exhaust of his engine. The hose was connected as usual and it was only a maintenance check more than anything. It is our winter now and his boat isn't getting much use. Now he did tell me that he primed the bulb from the oil reservoir prior to firing up. Ran it for 10-15 minutes but it kept smoking. Do these have oil injection regulators or the like that in this case is forcing too much in the mix?
Hope someone has an idea of what may be happening here.
Cheers Rob.
