Vintage Evinrude/Johnson Parts Swap?

I've recently purchased a 1957 Johnson Javelin 35hp and plan to restore her. Upon inspection, I found the rear portion of the cowling base to be cracked in three different areas. Instead of trying to repair the cracks, I was curious as to weather or not I can swap the cowling base, without any modifications, with that from a 1957 Evinrude 35hp outboard. Are they pretty much identical in that year? I am unsure of the model number of the Evinrude, but the model number of my Johnson is RJE-19. Just wandered if someone in the know might be able to shed some light on this. Thanks in advance!!!!............. ALAN

The lower covers should be the same.

The part number for the cowling base on the 1957 Evinrude is 25532. If anyone can verify the part number, it would certainly be most helpful. Thanks agian!!!........... ALAN
