1993 johnson 48 hp

rebuilt fuel pump and cleaned rebuilt carbs.has new coils.but still will not go full throttle.like starving for fuel.need help.how do you check out fuel tank?seems ok

Did you get the main jets?
Sounds like not.
They are inside the drain for the float bowl and you need a really skinny straight screw driver to get them out.
Use a stripped stranded copper wire, nothing harder than the jet, and run it through a couple times, should do the trick.

Did the same thing last year, replaced my entire ignition system and all it was was dirty jets.
Try that and repost results.

well took them out blew compressed air through them.is there a fuel filter on the engine im missing?took filter out of fuel tank and cleaned

Try running the wire through them, compressed air may not get varnish off, mine looked factory clean but weren't until I ran the wire through them.
Doesn't take long and may solve the problem, worth a try.

i use a couple of strands of stranded wire twisted together. you also may need to do a link n sinc.
