how do you remove the manual tilt cylinder?

Just a matter of removing the control cable & the pins, top & bottom.
Had to do the same on mine last year. Remove the top pin using a slide hammer, to back it out - the lower tilt pin by removing a nut from 1 side & tapping it out.

thanks .wasnt sure as the lower pin and top pins must be seized.neither one will not budge with hammer and brass punch.!how hard can you hit before it cracks the aluminum?

Ha Ha....Thats the danger alright!!!!
The top one was the one I had the bother with, I found the heat gun plus, lots of tapping & wd-40 did the trick......swearing loudly at it seemed to help too!!!!

was also thinkin of cutting pins off!needs new ones anyway.
