I know I've seen this problem posted before but danged if i can find it.......this engine cranks fine. When you open the throttle it will reach 44-4500 rpms. After about 10 to 20 seconds the rpms drop back to 2800 to 3000 with throttle wide open. If you push the choke the rpms will go back up to 44-4500 for about 10 to 15 seconds and fall back again.

If you are using a portable plastic 6 gallon tank, empty it and check the inside for plastic debris. I've found many of these tanks with so much debris in them from the molding and drilling processes that it clogged the pickup tube in the tank. It happened to me on two separate tanks.
