Just curious which one would be the most suitable for repair on a 1978 Rude 115hp. Seloc also has this online subscription for 3 yrs at the same price as their book. I have no knowledge on engines or anything mechanical but I want to learn. What have you guys found that works the best?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Seloc vs. Clymer

reprint of the original Evinrude service manual, outboardbooks.com or get proper # from there and watch ebay for one. the aftermarkets are too general and ususally cover several years. also online manuals, and CD's are hard to navigate.

OEM is the way to go. Tashasdaddy is right on the money. You'll pay a little more but they are worth every penny!

Seloc v. Clymer is kind of like Olive Oil v. Ralphie from happy days - they're both wimps.
