Re: Is two stroke oil the same as two cycle oil?
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Two-stroke oil (also referred to as two-cycle oil, 2-cycle oil, 2T oil or 2-stroke oil) is an engine oil intended for use in two-stroke engines.
Someone seems to have missed out 2-stroke diesel engines that use '4-stroke' oil in the oil sump!!
What is sold under the name of '2-stroke oil', is oil intended for use in GASOLINE engines where the oil is mixed with fuel or injected into the engine, but may go through the combustion and exit with the exhaust, partly or fully burned. One of the main technical differences is the flash point of the oil.
