Ok,
One threaded hole on my old Evinrude motor had its threads pulled out when attempting to pull the flywheel off. Does anyone have a recommendation for getting the flywheel off when there are only three holes to pull the flywheel off and one of the three holes has no threads??? Any help would be appreciated.

What size engine are you dealing with? This is the reason a shouldered stripper bolt should be used with a puller.

Loctite has a product called form a thread. Maybe some of that with a stud in the flywheel will hold enough. or drill out the stripped thread and re-thread with a heli-coil. Rick

Just tap it out to a 5/16 thread and use a matching bolt in that hole...

Thank you for all the suggestions I will tap to the next size. The engine is a 15 hp superfastwin.

Leave the nut on loose to protect threads.Tighten the center bolt good and then whack the top with a hammer a good solid couple of hits. Then retighten and whack again as reqiured. On a 15 I would think it would pop loose in a couple of tries.
