You are correct in using 50:1. They started out at 100:1 in 1986, then discovered that some motors got some internal rusting going on after long periods of storage. They did a recall to remove the stickers and put a 50:1 one on.Hi
I have a 1986 Australian assembled 15hp Johnston..on the engine housing beside where the fuel line connects it says 100;1 I have been using 50:1 because thats what I thought was standard ..any clues as to why the 100:1 is stencilled onto the cover?? and should I be using 100:1??don't want to be seizing him up
