notice very light oil leaking when the engine is trimed up, lifht means, a drop or 2 drops of oil. i recognized this oil, when putting some between my fingers, plus the smelling. running time of the engine is 190 hours far from the 300Hrs garantee. No cleaning products or other has been sprayed to this engine. Last fixes done on this engine were new sprak plugs + pin deflectors.
This was recommended in the past . Thanks Rene.

Where is the source of the drip? Is it exhaust residue?

I don't 'know where this residue is comming from. i m not sure this coming from the exhaust (well at at least this leaking is not coming from the exhaust exit, i thing is coming from upper around the botton of the cover when the engine is out the water..thanks. this engine is kind of brand new, so...

What does the oil smell like? Does it smell like gasoline? If so, it's exhaust residue.

Also, compare the oil to that of the oil in the reservoir. If they are the same, I would be looking for a loose oil line or a cracked reservoir. It could be as simple as the reservoir cap is loose.

Maybe this came after replacing the pins deflector, the sealing product has been well placed against the threading.

i meant : the sealing product has been maybe [not well placed against the threading.

Exactely, the color is not the same between the oil reservoir and those drops of oil, the driping ones are dark, so is has been burned out, but this residus should not drip on back on my white bridge ? the advertising of this engine is not oil waste , clean engine, precise oil distribution and so on .... so if after 190 H of running time i'm starting having drips, what is going to be after more hours....Thanks if idea.

Well lets see if I can help. Two drops in 1 1/2 years of operation and 190 hours. That should mean that it will take you 15 years to yield 10 drops and 2,850 hours of operation. Not much to worry about me thinks.

... plus the motor's still under warranty and the owner shouldn't be screwing with it.
