Anyone have any experience with the Panther Integral Tilt and Trim unit. for use on the Evinrude / Johnson motors under 35 hp?

Considering getting one.
It costs more than a CMC unit, but is made for the motor.

It also won't work with other motors, which makes the CMC unit more versatile, but awkward and ugly.

The CMC unit would also require a new steering cable, due to the setback, which brings the cost of the 2 units about even.

The setback might be a good way to correct the slight blow out problem I have now.

What to do?

Looks cool, but it is electromechanical, not electrohydraulic.

I would look for an OEM unit (ebay?) or go for the CMC.

Good point JB.

I don't think OMC ever made an OEM unit for the 35 hp.
Can't seem to find one, anyway.

I think the CMC will have better resale value. Its more versatile.
How is your "ugly" CMC working for you?

So, $400 for the PT35.
Or...$600- for the PT130, clamp on motor adaptor, and steering cable.

What do you all think?

Hmmm, maybe I'll make one.
I have a couple spare units from my old Force, that I was gonna sell on ebay to pay for the new one.

Time to get out the slide ruler and noggin cap.
