looking for spark plug gap for johnson 115 v4 - 1978 model number 115ETL78 any information greatly appreciated

Welcome DCS!

Use the Champion QL77JC4 gapped at .030 or .040 for a better idle with no effect on top end. Or, a QL16V surface gap is also listed as an alternetive.

I have the exact same motor, actually had 2 at one time.

Mine purrs like a kitten , with them gapped at .040, QL77JC4's.

And runs like a violated Ape @ WOT. LOL.
