1991 Johnson V8 300 hp Temp and Rev

Hi everyone

I have a Johnson 300hp V8 from 1991:

I was wondering if you know how much the average temp needs to be on this motor and how/where to attach a temp guage?

I am also not sure what the best rev's are on that engine and I was wondering if anyone knew about that.

The third point I would like to ask this community about is if I can mix in the oil with the gasoline instead of using the oil tank. I consider scrapping the oil tank completely.

engine faq forum on the oil tank removal. some say do it , some sat don't.. if you have a built in tank i say don't do it.
