problem with evinrude 155 commercial

the problem i'm having is that the motor will not go faster than idle speed. when giving it gas it has no power. but when neutral reving it up i get all rpm. any help will be much appreciated.

Is the spark advance rod connected to the timer base? Check all 6 spark plug leads with a timing light to be sure you have spark to each.

problem solved! spark avdvanced rod was disconnected. thanks for your help!
