Johnson DT-10 1940 5hp

This is going to be my next project starting in September. I am wondering if anyone has the manual and or general advice on this specific motor. I have worked on a TD-20 and the power head appears to be similar at first glance. Will I be fine using the TD manual as a basic frame of reference? The lower ends are quite different but hopefully it is as basic as it looks. All advice is helpful.

Not a lot of discussion here on motors of that vintage. You might try Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc. aomci.org. Those guys live and breath vintage outboards.

The club mentioned requires a membership which I will consider, but I still would love any input people on this forum may have to offer. Judging by what I read on other posts some of you may be familiar with this motor.
