Both 24:1 with TC-W3 outboard oil and 87 octane gas.<br /><br />Those are two real jewels there. They're probably the best two small engines ever built. The TN is related to the TD motors, except it has a neutral clutch, which is to say neutral-forward, lower unit. The clutch is activated by the lever you're asking about.<br /><br />Tom's site www.outboard-boat-motor-repairs.com has the '52-'54 Evinrude 3hp owners manual on it, if you didn't already know.

they are great, look like they haven't been run in a while. do the awakening a sleeping outboard. i use a '55 15 hp rude every week, best motor i've ever had.
