i have a johnson 20hp seahorse model no:j20bfcrd serial no:bo14320 and still have the original propellor which is understandably in bad condition. should i get a propellor rebuild or a whole new propellor?

going by the model it is a belgium, 1946 20hp. if it has the original impellor, and is still running it is amazing. your question is a little misleading. do you want to know about the impellor(water pump) or the propellor that makes it go.

Charlie, there's nothing wrong with rebuilt prop but you'll need to weigh the cost of having it rebuilt versus a new one which runs about $70.00 U.S.

(J20BFCRD is '84, normally the last letter is the model run code & you just ignore it.)
