1993 Johnson 88 PT and T question

I just replaced the motor on the PTT unit (API 301 NM) and it worked fine for several days . Then I tried it in the driveway one day doing something and now the motor will tilt up but not down. Any suggestions about where to look first? Thanks for any help.

Try switching relays and see what happens.

Papasmurf,<br />Tried that and still nothing - works going up but not down - the relays are interchangeable I guess? Any other ideas? Thanks for any suggestions.
