I have a 1996 48 hp Johnson motor. i just put a new power pack as I was running the the gas line it keep losing its prime. I changed the fuel pump and now it runs OK. The only thing is it idles real rough and at low speeds it does not run smooth. I took both carborators and cleaned them real good, but it did not help. Can someone please give me some advice where to go from here.<br />Thank you

Do a search for Joe Reeves thread on setting your carbs. You may just need to bump your low speed idle up a little or you could have missed something in a low speed jet.

You have to have those carb's in proper sync. with the ignition timing, and with one another. This is in the manual. Follow it step, by step.
