Steve, Welcome to iboats!<br /><br />It looks like you have a 1957 3hp motor. <br />Possible causes for no spark on one or more cylinders:<br /><br />Cracked/shorted coil <br />Coil not mounted in proper position on advance plate<br />Defective capacitor<br />Dirty or mis-adjusted point set<br />Defective plug wire<br /><br />BTW, point gap is .020 measured on high side of cam. You can order parts right here on iboats. A service manual will walk you thru the steps to overhaul the ignition system (and everything else!). Manuals are available from the link at the bottom of this page.
