A friend of mine has this 2 strokes Evi 100 HP V4 Commercial oldie with independent ignition coils, manufacturing year is unknown, is it a loopcharged or crossflow model ?

All regular production crossflow V4s since 1968, 4500 - 5500 rpm

Summer is just around the corner, would like to perform a wot test with 2 adults and 4 teens and check if this OB needs a prop maximization, as the load will be near fixed would like OB to rev middle to max wot rpm range. Current prop is an alum14.5 x 19 pitch. Which are the min and max OEM prop pitches available on the market for this 100 HP V4 model ?

??----Yes, I know you have a V-4.-----But some commercial motors came with a V-6 lower on them.----I am not there to see what you have !

That model should have a small metal plate attached to the port (left) transom bracket that has the model and serial number imprinted. What is the model number?

I don't think a 14 1/2 dia prop would fit on the standard V4 gearcase

Exactly , that is why I asked poster to clarify which lower unit is on there.-----V-6 lower unit has fine thread for prop nut.

OK, Being a Commercial OB can you tell if it's a V6 lower unit seen on pic or need precise model and serial number to know that, anyway by tuesday can have that answer, hope plate is still there to have a look ?

Checking Iboats props there are several for Commercial 100 HP Models, the issue is that there are 2 categories. The ones manufactured 1984-1990 and the ones manufactured 1991 and newer, should be 15 spline props.

Prop has stamped 14.5 x 19 alum prop..

Checked the engine today as indicated, no label, sticker, no metal plate whatsoever, So being a Commercial model uses a 15 spline prop, the non Commercial uses 13 spline props. Don't know yet if engine will need going to a Quicksilver Black Diamond 18 or 17 alum pitch prop for engine to rev towards max wot 5500 rpm range and of course stay in the alum cheap side.

On 17-18 pitches only 15.5 diam are available. Current one is 14.5 x 19, was wondering if this will this be an issue ? Supposedly pitch is all and diam is no that important to consider if you agree on that.
