I pulled the carb today and yellow fuel came out of it. 2 strokes take pre mixed fuel so I was surprised to see it. Must be a fuel filter problem? Can this be a reason when my motor won't start

well, 2-stroke oil is blue or green. so it tints the fuel blue or green.

How can a fuel filter change tour fuel. Most likely the fuel softened the crud in your fuel system

I concur - not a filter issue. More than likely you've got either a mix of new and old fuel, or you had a slug of dried out/varnished gunk that has now re-liquified and is causing your issue. Compare it to what's in your tank. Then flush the system until you get fresh fuel in the carb.
