I just got this boat and motor and it looks like an amateur experimented with it. I got really surprised when I hooked up the crank battery and it fried the post on the neg side of the battery. Without doing any thing else. Ignition switch off and the switch on the fuse panel was off. I really think the wiring is crossed up at the starter motor but have no way of knowing what to do to correct this. Can someone take a picture of their starter wiring or direct me to a wiring diagram that I can see?
