If you figure out the model # you can contact Ken Cook .com in Milwaukee, WI. Look on the power head for a core plug about the size of a quarter. It may have some #'s on it that may help.

Model # is very Important with the FICHT. Some years were subjected to many upgrades, which not all engines received. So the manual(s) have to cover all revisions. The real problem becomes the ability to access the Engine Control Module.

They said they can't tell anything from the number on the frost plug. Now what??

There is no info on the transom bracket?
I wouldn't put too much faith in the service manual that you posted a link to, it says it covers engines up to five years before they existed.

Is there a number on the Engine Control module? If so, BRP might be able to get some info that way

This is going to be either a 2000 or a 2001, and either a 175 or 150. I have been searching for the manual for this same motor. NADA.
Ken Cook does not have them, EBay is void, very little if any info on a straight Google search for the part number.

Stay away from Clymer and Seloc manuals. This engine is too complex for their simplistic "one manual covers many models" approach.

One other thing you can do....!!!! Hey it is so obvious....go to an Evinrude dealer and get them to hook the engine up to EvDiags. That will ID the motor,
assuming that the EMM is original, will give the serial number too.

You can also buy your own EvDiags software and do this yourself, and if you are planning to work on the engine, this will be required.

It is a 4 cylinder 60 degree looper 115hp. It probably is in the 2000 - 2002 range.

Really!!!!???? I was wondering where the two extra plug boots were. I figured they were down below the edge of the lower cowling. Good eye.

These motors are not in the top 10 on the hit parade.------Parts price / availability may be a problem.---Took 3 of these off a dealers scrap rack to save him the cost of taking them to the dump !!

So now where did you get the model number? You didn't have it when you started this thread. I think it is time to leave this thread.
