Hello,

I would like to install a tacho in my boat.

The tacho is not that hard with the Brp 174732 plug to my motor but is it possible to install my fuel gauge on the same plug so it will only get power after the ignition?

Regards,

Absolutely. The wiring harness plugs into your control box. The purple wire is the ignition switched positive.

So I just do one cable to my fuel sender, 1 to the purple wire (+) and one to my battery negative?

It is common to connect the tach through the control box of the engine. It is typical to connect the fuel gauge through the main dash wire harness of the boat itself.

I connect all gauges to the brp plug so they turn on & off with the key switch.
Run 2 wires to the fuel gauge sender, signal + ground.

Limiting what electrical devices come off the control box is a good idea.
If you get too much draw, it can blow the fuse on the engine, possibly stranding you out on the water.

That plug on the controller is rated at 5 amps gauges are no problem for that.
