First cause of high speed skip i can think of is a pinhole in the fuel line. Drawing too much air and thus starving the engine.

******

Second idea is a failing coil.

How violent is this skip? Does it feel like you hit something?

Sounds like you're dropping spark on one cylinder very briefly then it comes back. Might be hard to isolate the root problem. Swapping parts would be the expensive way to begin. I'd start by hanging a timing light on it one cylinder at a time and have an assistant watch for black spots in the timing light when it does it.

Nearly impossible to diagnose that from a distance. Could be as simple as a spark plug, or arcing out at the spark plug boot. Or more difficult at the other end of the possibility list.
