Anyone have a diagram for wiring up a breakaway kill switch to the controls for my 1976 115 Evinrude? Looking forward to 60+ mph this season on my Checkmate and need this to be working...

Thanks in advance,

The motor dies when the ground is removed from the magneto. The engine will run when the ground is connected. Most kill lanyards have a Normally Closed (NC) position and a Normally Open (NO) position. You need the lanyard to be in the NC position when installed and running.

Not on your key switch there should be two terminals labeled M for Magneto. One goes direct to ground the other goes to your magneto. Install the switch in the one going to the Magneto.

This kind of switch can be used either way by which way you mount the cover
