1952 fleetwin stuck throttle plate

Throttle stuck and I manhandled the linkage and broke the weld on this piece. Have the plate soaking in pb now. How screed am I with this piece busted? Can it be soldered or tigged back on somehow?

The shaft has two flats and passes through the plate and is then peened over. You saying you broke the peened area of the shaft? Is the throttle shaft brass? An old timer might be able to braze it for you. Send a picture of your actual carb showing the problem?

Think I won the battle and lost the war. Rod moves freely now but at the cost of its life im afraid. Got a ousted piece on each end. From the start I should have removed the plated applied pb and gently tapped each end until it freed up. Lesson learned. Any saving this guy? Maybe a drill and tap?
