Does anyone make a thermostat kit for a 1995 Johnson 130 Looper motor? They seem to make one for all other variants but not the looper.
I can find the parts and o-rings individual but thats expensive on this motor!
I havent removed the old ones to inspect their condition, but wouldn't mind doing it AFTER I have replacement items to put in it. Particulatly the o-ring and retainers.
Is there a time I should be inspecting these?
21 yr old engine thats lived its life in salt water, I bought it 4 months ago. It doesnt pee a solid stream but more of a 5 psi down to 2 psi type, on the hose at idle, slightly above idle and it will. In the water its steady.
Planning on doing flushes with salt away for awhile, atleast help remove deposits from years past.
