Cowling for 1985 15 hp Evinrude.

I lost the cowling to the motor. The model # is E15ECOB, and the SER. No. is EO503948. I hear that the 9.9 hp cowling will work, and that Evinrude and Johnson are also interchangeable. I am really looking for a used one becuase of my budget. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Check ebay, I've seen various cowlings there (use various search terms). Also do a web search for used outboards and parts - they often have cowlings. They are easy to strip the old decals off, repaint, etc. You can find decals on-line (or search these forums for pointers) or have a custom car decal shop make them for you.
