1953 10 hp Johnson primer

when I push primer the gas falls on front of carb throat and runs out the front. What is wrong? Thank You.

Either your needle and seat is leaking, or the float has sunk. Best bet is to order a carb kit and float, should be good to go for another 60 years.

I believe that primer squirts gas into the carb venturi area. If the motor is tilted forward, it runs the wrong direction (out instead of in). In other words make sure it is sitting level or even back a tad.
