1995 tilt/trim problem

I HAVE A 150HP FAST STRIKE JOHNSON THE GAUGE IS IN THE UP POSITION THE MOTOR GOES UP/DOWN JUST FINE THE GAUGE IS MY PROBLEM.ANY HELP PLEASE

Un hook the the trim position sensor. Use an ohm meter and see if you get a varying reading while manually moving it.

SHOULD I UN HOOK IT AT THE FRONT OF THE MOTOR?

I would check the trim sensor at the motor. If it is good there, chances are the wiring is bad or the gauge is bad.

IMO, a trim gauge is never accurate or reliable. I replaced mine with a water pressure gauge. That is much more useful.

I have a varying in ohms if I move the sencer

Disconnect the sender wire on the gauge, turn on the key and ground out the S terminal and see what happens.
