Evinrude Power Pilot Controls / Ticking coming from Control Box

I have a 1979 70 HP Evinrude 3 Cylinder, with Power Pilot Single Lever Controls. I've noticed that there is a ticking coming from the control box that seems to match the RPM's of the motor at lower speeds. It's not aggressively loud, but noticeable. I've checked to make sure its not a loose mount, or vibration issue. When I push or hold the control box, it does not seem to go away.

Does anyone know if this is out of the norm, or am I being too picky about it?

The motor runs like a dream after all 3 carbs have been rebuilt.

Any input is appreciated!

wild guess, but any chance it's vibration generated via the shift cable -- feel anything at the engine shift linkage, like it's not completely in or out of gear (whichever is appropriate?) Feel anything at the remote handle?

glad it's running well (good success on the carb work).

I am guessing (note "guessing") it could be arcing from the kill circuit. That is the only thing in there that has enough high voltage to arc. However, if my guess is correct, it is surprising that it runs well.
