Part sourcing for a '64-'73 Evinrude Sportwin 9.5hp?

I just got a boat locally to do a little fishing this summer in Hay Bay Ontario. It has a 1964-1973 Evin Sportwin 9.5hp 2 smoker on it. Seems to run well, very excited to get it out on the water soon, but wondering where the best place is to find parts for these old motors? For instance I was cleaning the carb today and I think I'd really like to swap out the cork float for a plastic buoy one. Are these available? I also heard there are aftermarket motor mount kits that can be purchased to limit motor vibration. Any help appreciated thanks!

edit: Mods feel free to tow this over to the Johnson & Evinrude outboards section

I have a 9022A Evinrude 9.5hp, 1970 I think.

Not familiar w the anti-vibration kit, details would be great.

I just ordered (and got today :becky:) a water pump kit (w/out housing, 18-3402) and a fuel pump rebuild kit, 18-7823, from here at iboats.

Not sure where I heard about the vibration kit, could have been for another motor

Can you link to a parts fiche / catalog??? thanks

also where can I find stamped on the motor the number to find the exact year of the motor?

My model # is on the id tag on the side of the motor mount.

There is likely a nickel sized metal disc (looks sort of like a freeze plug) on the top of the motor, that has the model # on it.

I highly recommend getting a factory service and parts manuals.

The vibration damper kit was for the early models, 1964-66 (I think it was '66 anyway). Later models already had the vibration dampers. One on each side of the powerhead, one bolted to the exhaust manifold, other to carburetor mount.

Installed many of those anti-vibration kits on the 64 and 65 models.--Think I have a new kit on hand still.
