Power pack Base connector "re-pin" or change connectors.... v4 crossflow 1986 90 Hp?
Probably a silly question, and I should know better...But here goes.
I've cobbled together a 90 crossflow. I'm calling it a 1986-1987. Was given a free block only and in spec, and built it up with parts I have.
I have a bad power pack 583110. It has 3 pins on one row, 1 pin on the second row to the timer base. I have plenty of similar packs 582125 and 582811 which have 4 pins in a roundish "U" shape. Wires are the same color.
Its this just a connector config change? meaning would I be able to re-pin this connector with my spares or put my connector on these Packs?
Ive looked at the Parts Lists, and Compatibility Lists, and understand they do NOT directly Sub to one-another. Looks like I will be buying a pack. Had to ask anyway.
first 2 pics are what I have plenty of spares of, 4 pins in a semi-circly "U" shape.
Last 2 pics are my original
