I'm changin the lower unit on my 69 fastwin. Someone could tell me if it is better to use a sealant between the powerhead the gasket and the lower unit or just the gasket?

Thank you

There is not gasket or sealant between the lower unit and exhaust housing. If you've removed the powerhead from the exhaust housing, then you should only need to replace the gasket. I like to put a light coating of grease on those gaskets as it helps hold them in place while you're lining things up. No sealant is necessary.
